I’ll admit, I didn’t think or pray often for Mexico … until I went there last month.

Of course, I knew there were needs there (as everywhere), but I didn’t have a special interest in the country, and I honestly didn’t know that much about it!

I was very surprised by what I learned while I was there. We had many conversations with young people who grew up as missionary kids, and they explained both the vast needs and open doors in Mexico.

Burdened by what we were learning, Nickie and I decided to put together this short video. We went to them and said, “You know what you told us about such and such? Could you say that once more for our camera?”

May the Lord cause us to lose interest in all that doesn’t matter, and enable us to put our thoughts, energy and prayers into the primary work He has entrusted to every believer—proclaiming the gospel to this dying world. The time is short!

“And He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.'”(Mark 16:15)

  1. Thank you so much for putting this together, Grace and Nickie. I was so blessed by watching it! Especially loved hearing Annie’s inspiring words. =) “May the Lord cause us to lose interest in all that doesn’t matter, and enable us to put our thoughts, energy and prayers into the primary work He has entrusted to every believer—proclaiming the gospel to this dying world. The time is short!” << mmm, yes. Thank you for that reminder! Blessings, Grace. =)

  2. Grace, you really need to do more updates like this, in person and interviewing and all that sort of thing. I think more videos= more viewers!!!! More people to share the Gospel!!!!you Inspire me and alot of people. Make your own youtube channel about how to get Christians to witness to strangers because you have a knack for it, you really do. I loved your book “Will Our Generation Speak” More than ever people need to hear the Gospel!!!! And this is coming from from a liberal film lover.

    P.S. what’s your favorite movie?
Mine is The Passion Of The Christ.

  3. “If you spend your life sharing the Gospel, that’s not going to be a wasted life.” I love that. Thanks SO much for posting this.

  4. Oh my goodness, thanks for sharing!! I’ve gone on short term mission trips 3x in the past years to Mexico; there is definitely so much need there and being so close to the border Mexico seems to be so often overlooked. We go to the Tarahumara Indians in the Copper Canyon– an unreached people group only 10 hours from the U.S. border! It is incredible how the Lord is working. Our group goes down to a boarding school that a Mexican Pastor founded in the Copper Canyon… in just a few years there are almost 100 kids in that school and in the past year many local people have been coming to know the Lord and they have begun building two new churches! It is so wonderful. Here’s a link to the blog that I wrote about our last trip, if you’re interested: http://coppercanyonmissiontrip.blogspot.com/

I am prayerfully considering going down for 6 weeks or so in the summer. The need down there is so great and God especially opened my eyes to cultural strongholds that Satan has in the areas of purity. I would love to go down and teach the girls about God’s beautiful plan of purity.

    Thanks again for sharing!

  5. I agree with Don White. You should do more interviewing, you have a knack for it!!! whoever edited it did a great job too. PTL!!!!

  6. Hello Grace,

I stumbled upon your family’s website today and I really enjoyed reading about your trip to Mexico. I am from Mexico (I am married, now, so I live in the US, but my family still lives there), and I wanted to thank you and the group for all the work you are doing in my country! Thank you for seeing beyond the insecurity, beyond the views and comments that people may have about my country. We do have quite a strong Catholic heritage, but thank you for seeing that we are all united as brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ. God is so good. Praying for you all.

  7. Early in the year of 2014, my mom shared this video with my siblings and I. I was 11 years old at that time, but God worked in my heart. I had recently surrendered my life to God to do whatever He wanted me to do in my future. After watching “Mexico Call” it was soooo clear to me that God wanted me to be a missionary to Mexico.
Now, being in my last year of highschool, I am looking forward to serving God more everyday! This morning, we finally submitted my college application and scheduled my interview for next month. I will be attending Baptist College of Ministry to study Bible, Missions, and Music. During my time in college, I hope to take a missions trip to Mexico for a clearer understanding of exactly what God wants me to do over there to serve Him.
Thanks you very much for this video that triggered my heart for full-time service!
