Today is Sarah’s Birthday!

If anyone wants to know how old she is, the answer is found in Joshua 15:32. (I decided to make you work for it. 🙂 )

We have a little family tradition of going to coffee shops occasionally on snowy mornings. This morning we had two reasons to go to a coffee shop: it was snowing, and it was Sarah’s birthday! What a great way to start the day out right!

sarahs-birthday-copy.jpg

At breakfast this morning I was telling the family something I really like about Sarah. It’s this: If she is excited about something, she gets the whole family excited about it. If she is discouraged, she takes it to the Lord but doesn’t spread the discouragement to others. My family agreed with me. People like that are nice to be around. 🙂

One thing I really appreciate about Sarah is the great advice she gives me when I go to her seeking counsel. She almost always has the exact answer I need to hear! Sarah is also the most patient person I think I’ve ever met! (And, remember, a little sister would know how patient a person really is… 🙂 ) She definitely practices what she teaches.

Sarah, thank you for being such a wonderful big sister, and for all the ways you’ve led me closer to Jesus. Thank you for your example of one who walks closely with God. I love you!!

“The Lord is my strength and song, and He has become my salvation. The sound of joyful shouting and salvation is in the tents of the righteous; the right hand of the Lord does valiantly. The right hand of the Lord is exalted; the right hand of the Lord does valiantly.” (Psalm 118:14-16)

  1. Happy Birthday Sarah! Just wanted to give an update on our Bright Lights group in Ravena, NY. We’ve been having a consistent number of girls coming, more than we have in years!!! We just finished a Christian Charm course in December and ended it with a Christmas tea. It was so nice!!! We are now in the planning stages for the next several meetings. We’re going to be taking a look at what Paul says about faith in Romans and then we will be doing some character lessons on those who walked in faith in the Bible. I’m very excited to see what God is going to do during this next “series”. If anyone is willing, there is a girl who we have been trying to get involved in Bright Lights but it has just not happened and she has been having a lot of issues lately with her family, mental health etc. Her name is Ciera. If you could all just pray for her salvation but also that the peace that passes all understanding would be upon her. Thank you for your service to the Lord and to the young women of our nation!!! God bless you on your birthday!

  2. Happy Birthday Sarah! May God Bless you with many more such joyfull Birthdays. You have blessed and encouraged me more than you’ll ever know.

Your sister in Christ ~ Lydia

  3. Today is a snowy day in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania and moms are dropping their girls off at the FLorio’s for Bright Lights Play practice. In March, the Denver Bright LIghts group will be having a play, a medley of Hymn Stories, Have THine Own Way, Lord, His Eye is on the Sparrow, Just as I am, and Take MY life and let it be. A church has graciously allowed us to have the play in their church and has invited all their church members so we expect a big attendance.
As the mothers drop their girls off, they tell me in different ways how grateful they are for Bright LIghts. A dad just last week told me, “I don’t know what we would do without Bright Lights; our daughter expresses such repentance when she makes mistakes and specifically mentions learning things in Bright Lights that she applies here at home.”
The material in the Bright Lights curriculum GLORIFIES GOD and we are so grateful for the strength of it, the purity of it and the relevance of it! It has met such a need in our family to grasp onto Biblical truth and develop convictions.
Sarah, I am so very grateful for you in my life and in my family’s life. Happy Birthday!!!!!

  4. Happy Birthday Sarah!
To give you an update on how our group out here in Connecticut is doing….
Currently we have a consistency of about 18 girls at each meeting and it is so exciting to see these girls so excited about living for the Lord. In December someone from our church asked if our group could make hats, mittens and scarves to send to a homeless shelter. Someone was willing to donate a bunch of yarn and we had three weeks to get as much done as we could. We said yes and I was amazed (as were the people who asked us) at how eager and willing the girls were. We ended up with 4 or 5 grocery bags full of stuff and it was a great testimony.
We recently had a meeting on true beauty and we invited all the moms to join us. It was really neat to have all the mothers taking part along with their daughters.
God is doing very neat things in the lives of the girls here.
Sarah, I pray that you will have a great birthday and wonderful year. :)Your ministry is a great blessing to many.
    HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!

  5. Happy Birthday Sarah!
God has really used you to encourage me this fall! I was discouraged about our Bright Lights group but God really encouraged me with several things. One of them was that some new girls started coming that and some of the girls really have a heart to start another group! Thank you for your prayers and have a blessed Birthday!

  6. Happy birthday, Sarah!
May God bless you abundantly for your faithfulness. I’m looking forward to being more involved with Bright Lights again when I’m home. I love you!

  8. Happy birthday, Sarah! I can’t begin to tell you what a blessing God has made you in my life! We just had our fourth Bright Lights meeting last Monday and had six girls attend. The girls are an encouragement to me by their bright, smiling faces! Everyone seems to be excited about this group and have continued to bless me with their enthusiasim. Please pray that the girls will have the desire to make Godly commitments now while they are young! Bonita Springs, FL

  10. Happy Birthday, Sarah!

I hope it is a special day for you! We are having a BL meeting tonight and I hope that it is an encouragement to you to know that 17 girls and their mothers will be meeting in order to learn the dangers of murmuring and complaining and how we can overcome it through the strength of the Lord! Thank you for all that you do to serve Him and encourage His disciples!

    Have a wonderful day!

  11. Happy Birthday Sarah!!!
Our Mother/daugher BL group is going well. It is so encouraging to here 7 year olds say they are going to be “strong for the Lord” Thanks for starting this wonderful minestry. Keep up the good work!!!!

  12. Happy Birthday Sarah! Our Bright Lights group is thriving. Although we just started in October, we have consistantly had 14 girls since the first meeting! We are amazed at how God is providing for our needs! We will finish Set 1 on Monday. The girls are enjoying Bright Lights so much and we love getting to know them all. Thank you for following Christ and setting such a wonderful example for us! Love,
    Alison, Samuelle, and Katie

  13. Happy Birthday Sarah!
You have JOY in the LORD and it glows and flows out of you. We love your bright smile, kind words and encouragement you give the young ladies (and old ones! 🙂

    You don’t look a day over 21!!!

  14. Happy Birthday Sarah! And thank you for starting Bright Lights. It has truly been a blessing to me. Our group is going great! One of the specail things my small group is doing is supporting a little girl in Africa. It has really been good for me and the other girls. We pray for her, makes things for her, and one of the girls even raised some money to help me out paying for her. Thanks again for serving the Lord as you have. Happy Birthday!

  15. Happy Birthday Sarah! May you be blessed with many more. May each year grow sweeter as you walk closer with our Savior!

  16. Happy Birthday, Sarah! Thank you for your faithfulness to the Lord’s calling. You are a shining example of His beauty and servant’s heart. Be encouraged that He is deeply acquainted with all of your ways. Our group recently enjoyed a ministry time at a place called Feed My Starving children, helping package food. We raised over $400 in donations to help purchase the food. You have no idea the fruit that is coming from all the hours you have put into the Bright Lights ministry–even to feeding Jesus’ children in other lands. You have blessed so many of us here in Minnesota! We love you, Sarah! Have a wonderful birthday and coming year!

  17. Happy Birthday, Sarah! Thank you so much for starting Bright Lights and resourcing all of us to serve God by mentoring other girls as well. All of the girls in my group of 14 love Bright Lights and look forward to it every week. I am so thankful as I watch them grow closer to each other and closer to God each month. We will be studying meekness on Monday night, and I am looking forward to sharing God’s thoughts with them on this topic. It is definitely something I need to work on as well.
Your radiant testimony is definitely an encouragement to all of us out here in MA!
    Blessings,
    Bethany

  18. Happy Birthday Sarah! Thank you for the work you have done with Bright Lights in answering God’s call to minister to young girls. It has truly blessed our family! We are so thankful for your part in our lives. Our Bright Lights group is doing well and has grown to 20 girls.
Love, John, Donna, Bethany, Kristen, Melissa and Nichole Beier

  19. Sarah,

My sisters and I would like to wish you Happy Birthday! We are thankful for the ministry that you helped lay on our hearts.

We are excited to see what God is doing through Bright Lights in our area. The group we lead in Rothsay, MN is made up mainly of girls from our church, but we have all been encouraged by the way one or two at a time have become interested from the outside. Last week over tea one of them asked what our next orderliness goal was. They are working to let their lights shine around their homes in this practical way!

Our Fergus Falls, MN Bright Lights is new this past fall, and just recently we have seen it becoming more of a group. The girls that are there seem to want to come and learn. We have special times sharing with them and getting to know them.

Being able to work together as sisters to share truth with others is an extra bonus (You have this bonus too working with your family!). God has been uncovering creativity that we didn’t know we even had, and He has often used your stories, examples, and reports to do that.

This year you have 29 candles burning on your cake! That’s just one more than I will have in a few weeks. Thank you for the encouragement to keep our lights shining with “radiant purity” whatever our ages and wherever God has us. May He continue to bless your life and ministry.

  20. Happy Birthday, dear friend! I praise the Lord for the day He brought you into the world. As a result of the way you have allowed the Light of the World (Christ) to live and shine through you, so many other lights have been kindled to shine brightly for His glory! Your friendship is such a blessing to me and is a rich encouragement in the One we seek. May He richly bless you as you continue to “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16)
    I love you, Sarah!
    Amy

  21. Happy Birthday Sarah!
I thank God for your example, enthusiasm and friendship! It is such a blessing from the Lord to get to serve Him with you. It is a joy to see Him at work in you life, and in my own as well because of it. Thanks for your faithfulness to Him. May He bless you greatly in the year ahead as you keep your eyes on Him!
    Love ya, Boss!!!

  22. Hi Sarah!

Happy birthday! :o)The group here in Clearwater, Florida is going well. We had five new girls visit on Friday evening, which was a huge encouragement. While we were discussing our lesson that evening (which was on attitudes of the heart) I was excited to see how many were scribbling away in their notebooks. I get a kick out of the enthusiasm the girls have for our missionary biography we’ve been working through by candlelight (lots of giggles at the cultural foods, along with serious expressions/intent listening while we learn of their efforts in a jungle in Papua New Guinea). We’re having a great time!

Enjoy your birthday! I’m praying for you!

    Hugs,
    Chelsea

  23. Happy birthday Sarah!
I am a stronger Christian today because you were willing to follow God’s leading and start that discipleship group in your living room over ten years ago. Thank you.
Keep shining in all you do, and may God bless you! 🙂

  24. Happy birthday to you!
    Happy birthday to you!
    Happy birthday dear Sarah…
    Happy birthday to you!

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY, other Sarah!

  25. Happy Birthday, Sarah!

You have been a bright shining light for us — drawing us to follow the Lord in every area of our lives.

The girls in our group love to come to the Bright Lights meetings and they are learning and growing in their relationship with the Lord!

Thank you for being a vessel for Him!

  26. Sarah Mally,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to someone who is gorgeous on both the inside and the outside! I hope that you have had a wonderful day! Thank you for your friendship and for your example of walking closely with the Lord. I miss you, but I am encouraged every day by the Lord’s faithfulness to me as a new graduate student!

    Love,
    Laura C.

  27. Dear Princess Sarah,

Happy Birthday to you! Thank you so much for being a beautiful example of a woman who is dedicated to helping girls to be closer to the Lord and make a difference for His kingdom. When you get to Heaven, you will be truly overwhelmed by the fruit of this ministry. God bless you for your faithful service, my sister!

My Bright Lights group is going well. Attendance was down for a while which was of course discouraging, but recently, a few new girls started coming. We started a series on the great women/girls of the Bible, and had a fun time learning more about Miriam and how just doing your everyday tasks can make a huge difference for God, even if you’re just a young girl. A short VeggieTales clip called “Baby-sitter in De Nile” was a fun accent to this lesson. 🙂

The past two meetings, we’ve talked about how we can better share the Gospel with others. I was excited to share what I’d learned from Mark Cahill at the Code Blue Rally! The girls seem to be interested in the topic, and I hope will start taking some small steps towards witnessing, like handing out tracts. To get us started, I gave them each the assignment of giving away a Christmas card that we made at our Dec. meeting to someone they knew that needs the Lord, or to a total stranger. It was great to hear some stories of what happened with that project!

Well, sorry for rambling on so long. It’s been awhile since I’ve sent you a report, so I had a lot of news stored up. 🙂 I hope you had a wonderful day, Sarah!

    Love,
    Rebecca Anderson

  28. Happy Birthday Sarah!
Your joy and love for the Lord radiate from you. You have been such an encouragement to me – thank you. May God bless you richly as you continue to faithfully serve Him.

    With Love,
    Karissa

  29. Happy birthday dear Sarah!!!
    I agree with Grace 100%!
You have been faithful in the little things and it is amazing to see how the Lord has used you to bless so many people. I’m so grateful for your encouragement and example of whole hearted dedication to the Lord. One thing that I really appreciate about you Sarah is your humble attitude and how you really live what you teach, and not just when you know that others are watching, but privately as well simply because of your love for the Lord. Thank you Sarah for all that you do!
    Love you!
    Nickie

  30. Happy Birthday, Sarah! I hope you’re having a great day! Thank you for all your encouragement. I am so excited to start my own Bright Lights group. Thank you!

May the Lord richly bless you,

  31. Hello Sarah! What a blessing you are to so many people. Our mother/daughter group is going well and the girls (my daughter especially) is being challenged to live whole heartedly for the Lord. I know the Bright Lights program is being used by God in her life (and mine). :0) Keep seeking first His kingdom in your life. Psalm 111:2 “Great are the works of the Lord, studied by all who delight in them.” Thank you for delighting in the scriptures over the years. We have been blessed by your diligence and devotion. Our love from Indianapolis, Indiana.

  32. Dear Sarah! Happy Birthday! I hope that you are having a wonderful day! You are such a blessing.

May the Lord richly bless you in ALL that is ahead.

    Much Love, Mary

  33. Happy Birthday Sarah! We are so glad God so purposefully created you! The vision He gave you to start Bright Lights has dramatically impacted so many girls and their moms for Christ! We have integrated Bright Lights into our American Heritage Girls group and we are loving it! We have our American Heritage Girls group 2 nights per month, then 1 night we have a traditional Bright Lights group where I facilitate a teaching on the Bright Lights topic, then small group discussion, then, of course a tea party! What a blessing to combine these two wonderful ministries. Blessings!!! Heather

  34. Happy Birthday! We have been so blessed by you being willing to obey the Lord. Thanks for having such a willing heart to seek after Him and share with others. May the Lord bless you and your family abunduntly.

  35. Dear Sarah,
It is my delight to write a note to wish you a happy birthday. We are not leading a BRIGHT Lights group as I may have wished, the Lord seems to be leading our family in ministering to other families with mostly little boys! It can be challenging but very rewarding as well. Many of the things we have learned from you and your family can be used in our family as we minister to those God brings us into contact with. I am thankful for you and your willingness to serve the Lord and the way He has used you to teach and be an encouragement to me. I am including a quote from a book I have enjoyed entitled In My Father’s House A Vision for Daughters, compiled and edited by Tamara S. Valine and Naomi Joy Valine. I see in your life a willingness to minister from your father’s house, the way God designed. “I am supposing, dear rosebud of the little willful thorns, that you are willing to bloom in the home borders, that you are not anxious for a wider career than home offers you. These are days of restlessness and aspiration beyond the bounds of home, and young women are invited on many sides to step into a sphere that seems wider than the somewhat circumscribed circle of home interests. May we not urge upon our thoughtful daughter, that she shall continue at home, filling every little space and crevice with sunshine and sweetness, when her family does not ask or suggest her going beyond it, when the means are sufficient, and she is more welcome there than the day dawn after midnight, and find at home an arena of effort, worth her utmost powers?”
May the Lord bless you as you live this next year for His glory. (I didn’t have to look up how old you are because I know you are turning [29], the same as I will be in May!)
“Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all.” Proverbs 31:[29]
    Love,
    Holly Brompton from Crook, Colorado

  36. Hey Sarah…Happy Birthday!

An update on my Bright Lights group because you like to keep tabs of your slaves: I have about 10 girls coming and we meet twice a month on Tuesdays. We’d love to have you visit us and be a guest speaker! I and the girls have been so blessed by your ministry! May God continue to shower blessings on you as you contineu to shine for him! Love you lots!

  37. Happy Birthday Sarah. It has been quite a time watching you grow up over the years. We hope that you will continue in your service to God, and thank you for the encouragement that you have been. God Bless you.

  38. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Sarah!! I hope you had a sweet day!

Here in Bemidji, Minnesota, our Bright Lights group is going so well! I look forward to each meeting! In fact, I just got home from BLs this evening – we studied Fear of the Lord and also had a young lady present a talk on Hope Chests. She brought items from her hope chest and inspired the girls to get their own hope chests going…the girls looooved it!!

  39. Happy Birthday! Thank you for being a good example and friend to me.

My Bright Lights group here in Cambridge, MN continues to go well. The Lord has provided a new place for us to meet since we have outgrown our house. A church down the street is letting us use a very nice room with a piano in it. I am blessed to have some really neat girls. It is encouraging to see the ones who listen intently and are enthusiastic. Today we did the humility test game. One of the girls told me afterwards that she really liked that activity and she thought we should do it every time. Praise the Lord for His work in girls’ lives.

  40. SARAH,

Happy Birthday! Words can not explain how much of a blessing you have been in my life these many years! I hope you have an amazing day!!!!

  41. Happy Belated Birthday Sarah!

I was sick so I missed this post. It’s interesting to know that your birthday was exactly a week before mine.

    God bless you!
    Hannah

  42. Dear Sarah,

Wishing you a very blessed birthday and many more to come!!! God bless you! Thank you for all the time you spent teaching us how to be Bright Lights. It had been wonderful, indeed!

  43. Happy Birthday Sarah!
Today will be our first Bright Lights meeting in Harrodsburg, KY. I am really excited and hope to have a good turn out. Thank you for all the work you have done for this group. The Lord has really used you to Bless many people. Sorry I was a day late in posting, I was busy (as you would know) getting everything ready for our meeting. I hope you had a great day!

  44. Just wanted to wish you a very happy birthday and thank you so much for using your time of singleness for the Lord. He has blessed to many people through you and the ministry that you started…
I am thrilled to report that our Bright Lights meetings are going very well…we average around 14 girls and mothers and are currently being blessed by the Radiant Purity set. I myself have learned so much that i have been able to pass on through the Lord’s grace. Thank you again for your dedication and hard work! I don’t know how many times I have heard a mother say ‘I am so glad for Bright Lights, I really wanted to share this with my daughter, but wasn’t sure how.’
    In Christ

  45. Happy Birthday, Sarah!!
May the Lord bless you in all you do for Him! The Lord is working in our family:)PTL
    Have a Wonderful day

  46. Hi Sarah,
Happy Birthday a little late!! It was fun to be able to see you on your birthday. Thanks to Grace’s blog pics. The last time I saw your parents was at Panaras in the Chicago area.
Our Bright Lights Group is changing a lot after 6 years. It is so amazing and encouraging to work with our young leaders who began in BL 6 years ago. There are now 15 of us. We have a whole new group of young ladies coming to BL. We have 12 new girls working on earning their BL notebook. We are finishing up the Wisdom set and have decided to have a group Bible memory challenge for 2008. We will be putting leaves on a tree for each verse we memorize to symbolize “Growing in Love with God’s Word”. We are so excited. I will try to remember to get a picture and send it your way as we “grow”
” Your hands have made and fashioned me; give me understanding that I may learn your commandments.” Ps 119:73
    Sister Sally Sharik from Warsaw,IN

  47. The Lord’s hand truly is valiant. I realize this as I observe His work in the lives of young ladies. Because of God using you to develop the Bright Lights discipleship lessons, there are about 20 young ladies here who have been helped greatly in their walk with the Lord and serving Him in various ways.

To meet together in Bright Lights helps them to encourage each other as well. I have taken eight of the older ones through your leadership training tapes, and they are now helping in the start-up of a group of young ladies at Park City, about 15 miles from us. They also have the opportunity twice a month to minister to the elderly at a local care home. Thank you for your part in their spiritual development. (Their mothers, too, have been very excited about Bright Lights).

Rejoicing in the Lord, and praying you have a GREAT BIRTHDAY celebrating His
    faithfulness.

  48. Happy Birthday Sarah! We love you! I am so thankful that the Lord brought you into my life as a godly mentor for many years, a wonderful music teacher, and a friend. May the Lord continue to draw you closer to Him each and everyday of this new year of your life.
    Rachel Wallace

  49. Happy Birthday Sarah!
Hope it’s not to cold at your house. Have a great birthday!

  50. Dear Sarah,

We just had our first 2008 meeting on Monday! Our group has grown recently to about 24 girls, most of them new and under 10 years old. They are so enthusiastic about Bright Lights and all their little sisters are counting the days until they can come too. 🙂
At the last meeting we had, we challenged the girls to memorize the Christmas story (Luke 2). We were surprised this meeting when about three quarters of them had done it! Of course, they had it memorized in about four different versions, which produced many giggles when they all tried to recite it together. 🙂
We finished set seven last year, and since most of the girls were not in the group when it started, we did set one, lesson one again. To give it a new twist, we added to what we did before by talking about some of the famous people in history who used their time for the Lord in their youth; like young John Smith, who wrote in his diary that he wished to “separate myself from my peers.”
    Many Birthday Blessings to you!

    Keeping you in prayer,

    Love Emily and Aubrey

  51. Happy Birthday Sarah! I hope that you had a very special one. I cannot help but think how proud Grandma Mally would be of you! (you too stephen and you too Grace!)I can also remember the small group of Bright Lights you had in your back yard. How good the Lord has been!

What a sweet testimony that your sister Grace gave to you! You are a blessing to me!
    Lovingly,
    Annette Hesson

  52. Happy Brithday Sarah! May God bless you, and continue to use you to glorify Him and encourage others.
Just a quick up date of how our Bright Lights group in Va is doing.
The girls are so wonderful to work with. God has really blessed me with their friendship. We have started a Bright Lights Library and on Feb 9th we are planning a Bright Lights Banquet for all the girls and their families. I hope to soon have a mini series about the love of God and we have been all working together on the book “before you meet prince charming”.

    Have a happy Brithday
    Love
    Natasha W.

  53. Happy be-lated Birthday Sarah!
Even though I don’t know you very well you have been such a good example and encouragement to me! I am so thankful for you!
The Bright Lights group in Perry is going well but we took a break this month to just think over what direction we need to be heading. We asked the girls and the parents to give input too. It was encouraging for me to read about the other groups and to see how the Lord is working!
I hope you had a wonderful birthday! God bless you as you continue to serve Him!
    Love,
    Kendra DeFord

  54. All of the girls in the Brookfield Bright Lights group wish you a happy birthday! I hope this birthday was the best yet and that you’re enjoying another year in the Lord:)

    Courtney V. Lantis

  55. Blessed, blessed, happy, happy, happier birthday Sarah!! *Big hug* Thank you for your ministry that has impacted my life so much, thank you for the example that you are to me. Your godliness, virtue, just the way you serve and love others, gentleness, and how you treat everyone as important is very striking to me.. May the Lord continue to bless you and cause you to prosper and truly blossom in His love! I am thankful to know you 🙂

  56. Belated Happy Birthday, Sarah!

We will be going over Session 7 in the first set this week, and I have personally been very blessed by the ministry you are all doing through Bright Lights. Oh yeah, I think the girls like it, too! We have a steady group of 10, with another adding this week. I am amazed at the maturity of some of the girls, and encouraged. I know they are an encouragement to the others, too, that are struggling more. May God continue to bless the work you are doing.

    Mrs. Ritzman

  57. I know it’s a little late, but we just wanted to wish you a very happy birthday, Sarah!! We so appreciate your godly example and all the work you have done with Bright Lights!

  58. Happy Birthday!

You are such a wonderful friend…thank you so much for everything you have been willing to pour into me. I pray that God blesses you with wonderful insights into his word! I hope to see you soon!

    Tia

  59. Sarah! Hello and Happy Belated Birthday!I thought I should give you a little update on our now growing Bright Lights group in small Tracy MN! For one thing, the girls love it and we usually have moms staying as well, because it is quite a drive for some of them! I love teaching them what God has taught me! I have also learned so much from your material, probably more than they have! 🙂 Well, Thank you for all your hard work devotion! God Bless!
    -Annika Sahlstrom

  60. God bless you sister, and Happy Birthday a bit late! I’m so amazed by all these notes to you; you’ve touched a lot of lives (including mine!) and God has used you in a lot of ways. God bless you; have a fantastic year.
    ~Dani

  61. We are so thankful our girls are a part of Bright Lights. They are so excited about every meeting and enthusiastically do their lessons. Bright Lights and Light Shop has defiantly been an answer to one of our long term prayers. God answers in mysterious ways sometimes, by moving us to Iowa. Thank you all for going after Christ, denying yourselves [forgetting, ignoring, disowning, and losing sight of yourselves and your own interests] and taking up your cross, and [joining Christ as a disciple and siding with His party] following Him [continually, cleaving steadfastly to Him]

  62. Happy Birthday Sarah from our Cincinnati Bright Lights group! Our group has grown to about 15 girls. We are in the third set and learning about How to Reflect Christ in Every Response. The girls are learning and growing in the Lord more each time we meet! It is exciting to be a part of their lives in this way! They are teaching me so much as well.
