Surprising Trust

Since my dad wasn’t feeling well last night, I got the job of cutting Stephen’s hair. I told him (as I was cutting) how I really had never done this before and wasn’t sure what I was doing.

  1. I’m sure he felt totally secure, I hope his all was on the altar! HEHE. and I like your studio! No hair places give me pink towels! 😉

(I do victor’s hair too! he has a bald spot. shhh i dont think he reads your blog! :D)

  2. Grace, you can’t just post a picture of you cutting his hair – we want to see the finished result! Or is it not a pretty sight? 🙂

  3. Wow, Grace! You’re a whole lot braver than I am!!! (Stephen doesn’t look like he’s all that sure about it….. :)) How does the finished product look?

  4. Hi Bekah, Sarah, and Eunice… Well, Stephen does have a little thin part on the side but it’s not too obvious. I’m not sure if he noticed it yet. 🙂 Anyway to answer your question, the overall turnout was pretty good I guess. His thick hair hides the mistakes well. Eunice, you are too cute… lol… I’d love to see you cutting Victor’s hair.

  5. Hahaha, that’s a hilarious picture! Yes, what our poor brothers go through while we’re learning to cut hair…

  6. Ha Ha!!! Thats funny! When I was little I cut my brothers hair and told my mom I had talent. Well long story short my brother had huge gaps in his hair. 😉

  7. Daniel’s comment when he saw the picture: “Grace looks like she’s having too much fun.” 🙂

  8. LOL, Grace, that picture is too funny! Congratulations to you for your courage and Stephen for his…um…touching trust. 🙂

That reminds me of this picture Daddy or Mommy once took of me cutting my brother’s hair (see http://broken-vessels.blogspot.com/2008/06/short-hair-manifesto.html), and then that other time when I was cutting my brother’s hair again when he heard (1) the clip drop to the ground, (2) this shearing sound as I plunged the machine into his hair, and then (3) me say, “oops…” Then there’s that picture of my dad cutting my mom’s hair with the help of a tape measure…

Anyways, I’m sure you did a great job and Stephen’s perfectly happy with his hair! 🙂 In any event, Daddy and Mommy always say the difference between a good and bad haircut is not that noticeable after one week or so… 🙂

Thanks for posting, and God bless y’all!

  9. Haha, It sure sounds and looks funny!!! 😀 But you are sure a good hair cutter with the help of GOD!!! 😛

Wishing you and your family a blessed and happy New Year!!!

    Love,
    Deborah

  10. We used to take the scissors and cut our grandmother’s hair when we were younger. When my mum found it in the dustbin or noticed my grandmother’s hair looked a little funny, we were in for a ‘nice time’. 😛

  11. When I was younger, I used to cut my grandmother’s hair. One time, my mum caught me as she came out of her room and in I went for a ‘nice time’ as my sister calls it.
