Harold and Rebekah Mally have been involved in Christian work since 1970. They homeschooled their children with the desire to see them become a team to serve the Lord together. Their children, Sarah (born in 1979), Stephen (born in 1985), and Grace (born in 1988), continue to work with them in ministry to strengthen families in the Lord and equip the next generation to speak boldly for Christ. Harold is an elder/teacher at their home church, Cedar Rapids Bible Chapel.
Sarah is the founder of Bright Lights, a discipleship ministry designed to equip young ladies to use the years of their youth fully for Christ. This ministry started as a small girls’ Bible study in her living room in 1996. Since that time Bright Lights has seen God’s hand of direction and blessing in many ways. Over 750 Bright Lights groups have started in 47 states and 18 countries. Bright Lights hosts conferences for mothers and daughters, trains and equips leaders of Bright Lights groups, and provides discipleship material for young ladies.
Stephen is Assistant Director of Photography for the University of Iowa’s athletics department. He also continues to work with Tomorrow’s Forefathers, and is a speaker at the Just Men and Stand Fast conferences.
Grace is the author of Will Our Generation Speak? A Call to be Bold with the Gospel. The book, study guide, and accompanying video series (still in progress) are designed to help young people get equipped and form witnessing teams to share the gospel together. Grace married Josiah Moffitt in 2019. She continues to serve as staff with Bright Lights.
In 2002, Sarah, Stephen and Grace published Making Brothers and Sisters Best Friends which has sold about 80,000 copies. In 2007, Sarah published Before You Meet Prince Charming which has sold about 85,000 copies, and her latest book is Speak Truth in Your Heart, published in 2018.
Tomorrow’s Forefathers is the “umbrella” name for the Mally family’s ministry. It is their goal to see the coming generation rise up as strong men and women of God.
