Lots of Ice

About a half hour ago, Stephen and I were working on our computers when we heard a loud crack and discovered this broken branch…just one of the many fallen branches in our yard this morning. We had a pretty severe ice storm last night!

Ice covering every twig like this gets pretty heavy!

  1. It’s a comfortable 75 degrees down here. We have the windows open! It’s hard to imagine all that ice and snow! πŸ™‚ What beautiful pictures!

“God thunders marvelously with His voice; He does great things which we cannot comprehend. For He says to the snow, β€˜Fall on the earth…'” Job 37:5-6

God bless you all! Merry Christmas!

  2. We had an ice storm once at our place (in PA). Our family sent us pictures. It had brought down some of our tree branches too.

Here in UA, we’ve had flurries but nothing laid much. Today it’s snowing but the ground is wet. Thanks for sharing about the Christmas caroling. That’s one thing I miss here.

    Blessings!!!

  3. We got lots of snow, but not that much ice! Winter is definitely here in the mid-west. I also enjoyed reading the previous post about your BL Christmas caroling – what a wonderful idea; I’m so glad the s were enthusiastic, that’s precious to see! Merry Christmas!

  4. We got the Ice storm too, here in CT, but it wasn’t as bad as that. All the branches and twigs were covered in Ice, but it wasn’t as thick as yours. It was beautiful though when I sat down at my desk and looked up and out my window yesterday morning to see the sun shining through the Ice on the trees against the blue sky. My sister took several pictures from different view points, and we have all told her that we’ll have to put them up as the background of our computer desktops.

I so enjoy reading you posts. It is a great way to keep everyone “up-to-date” on things. πŸ™‚

  5. Brrrr! and I thought forty-seven degrees was cold! :o)

…Florida weather can sure change one’s perspective.

  6. Hi Grace!
How did the Prayer Caucus go? We had a meeting that night, and so just as you were starting, I grabbed a couple girls, an we prayed.

  7. Hey Grace, I think today was the day you said you were coming home from Ohio. I hope it was a wonderful time for you; I was praying for ya!

  8. Hello Grace! Sarah! And all of you up there!!
We hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and will have a very safe and Happy New Year!!!
We always enjoy looking at this site to keep us posted with what is going on.
We miss you all very much and are praying for the Iowa elections. Our primary is Jan. 29th and would appreciate your prayers as well.
We are on Mike Huckabee’s campaign, and Randy is the organizer for our county, so we would be amiss if we didn’t encourage you to encourage everyone you know in Iowa to get to the polls Jan. 3rd (if they’re Huckabee supporters!). πŸ™‚ If they’re not, tell them the date was changed! No, I’m only joking!!
With the mixed up media (even FOX), it’s easy to be confused about where the candidates stand. If there’s any hesitation whatsoever on Huckabee, I would encourage you to visit http://www.mikehuckabee.com to see where he stands on all the issues. Another great site is http://www.hucksarmy.com. Those sites have been very helpful to clear up the untruths that have been spread around.
We love you all very much. We hope to see you again in 2008!!
    Much Love and Prayers,
    Randy, Ann, Heather & Allison
