Creation Museum/Miscellaneous

Additions to the Creation Museum!

Over 500,000 have been through the Creation museum since they opened in April of 2007. On our way home from Michigan, my dad and I stopped in for half a day. They have added so much since we were last there in February! We enjoyed visiting the new petting zoo, new cafes, and the well-designed gardens, waterfalls, walkways and bridges beautifying the museum grounds.

Here is the zonkey. (A mix between a zebra and donkey.) This illustrates Genesis 1:25 where it says “God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.”

The camel was rather…um… affectionate. I had camel slobber on my shirt all day.

My dad had to lecture the camel on his behavior. 🙂

Every time we are at the Creation museum we get so excited about what God is doing there. If you haven’t been through yet, you must make it a priority to go!

  1. Yuck!!! Camels can be cool sometimes, but other times they are kind of yucky.:) One time a camel tried to eat my mom’s hair. The museum sounds really cool though. We have heard a lot about it.

  2. The Creation Museum is such an encouragement! We got to go see it in July and enjoyed it so much! I loved the zonkey and the zorse…and of course the camel was nice enough to pose for a picture! Glad you got to visit! God is doing great things through Answers in Genesis and The Creation Museum! Katie

  3. We would just love to go to the Creation Museum someday! We’ve had friends go and come back saying how amazing it is. It sounds extremely interesting. Sounds like some very wonderful new additions – I love that third picture! 🙂

  4. Someday, we’re going to go up there and go to the Creation Museum. It looks/sounds like it’d be well worth the drive!!I well remember when Ken Ham came here in 2004 and told us about it.
I love the pictures of the camel!!!

  5. Grace… I sounds like you had a great time! I’ve never been there but I’d love to go sometime. Very funny picture of your Dad

  6. Haha. I loved your pictures!
I went there when I was at Summit, but we were pretty rushed to get through the whole thing and didn’t get to see any of the landscaping other than from a distance. I’d really like to go back someday and look around, though.

The Lord is definitely doing awesome things with the ministry of the Creation Museum. 🙂

  7. Kisses from a camel? Doesn’t sound to exciting. 🙂 I miss you soo much, love Supriya
